Richard Glazier Shares His Passion and History With the Gershwin Brothers in Steinway Concert
On August 27, Steinway piano artist Richard Glazier exhibited his incredible talent and historical video clips of American popular music from early 20th century movies. Highlights included rare footage from "The Wizard of Oz," Al Jolson, and Ira Gershwin, who he met and played for in his Beverly Hills home at the age of 12. A long-time friendship ensued, and Glazier shared warm stories of his career and his current tour featuring Gershwin show tunes. Glazier capped the amazing evening with an memorable performance of Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue." For more information about Glazier, visit his website at www.richardglazier.com
